Les vestiges mégalithiques présents dans le Morbihan Sud se comptent par milliers. Ils constituent un héritage à nul autre pareil. L’ampleur et l’étendue de ce legs suscite de nombreuses interrogation et des théories qu’il est difficile de vérifier. La réalité se confond ici facilement avec un imaginaire qui nous autorise à toutes les spéculations et fantasmes.
Cet héritage néolithique comporte des trésors uniques sur la planète, comme le mystérieux Tumulus Saint-Michel de Carnac, le plus ancien tombeau du monde. Enseveli sous cette véritable première pyramide, a été enterré un puissant monarque qui régnait jadis sur un territoire qui pratiquait le commerce international à grande échelle et la navigation maritime. On est très loin de l’image désuète de chasseurs-cueilleurs vêtus de peaux de bêtes, chassant en vastes groupes le mammouth.
Ce territoire d’exception fait actuellement partie d’une démarche de classement au Patrimoine Mondial de l’Humanité à l’Unesco. Celle-ci entre dans sa phase finale avec une inscription pressentie à l’horizon 2025/2026.
C’est dans ce cadre, et s’appuyant sur un partenariat avec Leica Camera France, qu’un ambitieux livre de photos d’art monochromatiques est en cours de conception. Entièrement réalisé avec le Leica Q2 Monochrom, il sera l’un des ouvrages de référence entrant dans le cadre de cette inscription.
Fin juin 2022 toutes les prises de vue ont été achevées et la parution est prévue pour l’année 2024.

The megalithic remains present in southern Morbihan number in the thousands. They are a legacy like no other. The magnitude and extent of this legacy raises many questions and theories that are difficult to verify. Reality is easily confused here with an imaginary which authorizes us to all speculations and fantasies.
This Neolithic heritage includes unique treasures on the planet, such as the mysterious Tumulus Saint-Michel de Carnac, the oldest tomb in the world. Buried under this true first pyramid, was buried a powerful monarch who once ruled over a territory that practiced large-scale international trade and maritime navigation. We are very far from the outdated image of hunter-gatherers bears dressed in animal skins, hunting in large groups the mammoth.
This exceptional territory is currently part of a process of classification as World Heritage of Humanity by Unesco. This is entering its final phase with registration expected by 2025/2026.
It is within this framework, and based on a partnership with Leica Camera France, that an ambitious book of monochromatic art photos is being produced. Entirely produced with the Leica Q2 Monochrom, it will be one of the reference works within the scope of this registration.
At the end of June 2022 all the shots have been completed and the publication is scheduled for the year 2024.

Ci-après un petit carnet d’expéditions immortalisé avec quelques photos. Et des expéditions dans le cadre du livre il y en a eu un grand nombre. Environ 90 sites ont été photographiés. Tout cela a été rendu possible grâce à l’aide inestimable des équipes de « Paysage de Mégalithes« , association qui porte le dossier d’inscription des mégalithes du Morbihan Sud à l’UNESCO. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe !

Below is a small expedition notebook immortalized with some photos. And expeditions within the framework of the book there were a large number of them. About 90 sites were photographed. All of this was made possible thanks to the invaluable help of the teams of « Landscape of Megaliths« , an association which carries the file for the inscription of the megaliths of South Morbihan at UNESCO.
